Abstract

Punishment in the world of education is a secondary instrument and is given when other methods or methods cannot change the bad character of students with the aim that students want to change. In the world of education today, the punishment instrument is very much needed, with a note that it must go through several stages. When giving punishment to students, the educator should not be angry and not in the context of revenge. And the sentence handed down should be educational for students. The hope is that when giving or passing punishment, educators prioritize or prioritize non-physical punishment rather than physical punishment. When non-physical punishment is unable to change the bad behavior of students, as stated by Ibn Sina that educators are allowed to use physical punishment, the first blow should cause pain, as suggested by wisdom experts. Because the first hit that causes pain will make the child think the next hit is more painful and therefore will cause fear.
